NEW NO SEAL MODEL with NEW "NO SPIN" Hardware!!

Everything you loved about the original All-In-One Reusable Resin Form from Ahonui Artisans is now a hassle free, no seal form! With the new designs built in gasket, you no longer have to clean and seal your form between each pour. Simply remove one of the short sides, remove the blank from the form, replace the side, and your ready to pour again! No sticky mess, no waiting for caulking to set up and no more running out of sealant!

Another upgrade to this model are the threaded inserts. Gone are the small oval shaped inserts that over time may have a tendency to spin/bend while tightening your bolts, or even on rare occasions fall out and disappear under a workbench...

These new forms are fitted with a thicker square insert that is hard pressed into the form material. The square shape keeps it from spinning and the wider thickness makes it unable to fall out of its slot.

The Original Reusable HDPE Epoxy Resin Form in Large Size measures:

 20.5" long x 12.5" wide x 2" deep

All measurements are INTERIOR dimensions.

Disclaimer:

This form is intended to save you the hassle of completely rebuilding, taping, and finding clever ways to clamp your work in place. These forms will produce a blank, not a finished product. This form is intended to make setting up and resetting for your next pour as quick and efficient as possible to maximize work flow. It is not intended to produce a final piece that is ready to sell.

Due to the slick nature of the HDPE, there will be minor manufacturing “scuff” marks on the surface of the form. These marks will transfer to your resin but will be planed and/or sanded away very easily when working the blank to final thickness. These scuffs will in NO way affect your final piece.

About This Product:

This is the last style resin form you’ll ever need. It is constructed of 3/4 inch thick High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). A durable plastic that when properly maintained, e.g. coupled with the use of a high grade releasing agent such as Honeywax or Stoner, will make for many fun and productive hours of pouring in the shop!

The form will be fully assembled out of the box, minus the hold down bars. It will need a coat of mold release before use to ensure a long and healthy life for your form. Subsequent use of the mold release should be performed per manufacturers recommendation of your chosen releasing agent. The TWO long sides of the form will be “permanently” secured and sealed with RTV silicone gasket maker with bolts and threaded inserts. (These sides can be removed if you ever need them to be, but it isn’t necessary to remove them for normal function.)

Integrated T-track System:

The form also comes with integrated T-slots for attaching your clamp hardware to the side walls. This allows you to use the three included HDPE clamps and hardware, with the help of the 12 included HDPE clamp blocks, to secure your wood in place before making your pour to ensure they don’t move or float during the curing process. The blocks being made from HDPE ensures that your resin does not stick to them in case of over-pouring.

Integrated Leveling System:

The leveling system consists of 4 integrated leveling feet and 2 bubble levels. The integrated leveling feet allow you to level your form from the top using a standard, flat head screw driver (or the included Ahonui Artisans screwdriver). The bubble levels help you visually adjust your form to be level, regardless of your workspace.

Instructions for Use:

Removing the Blank from the Form:

With this design, it is only necessary to remove one of the two short sides of the form. Both short sides are removable if your blank gives you any trouble.

To remove your blank, remove the end cap(s) by removing the 3 bolts on the side you have chosen to remove. These bolts are paired with galvanized steel threaded inserts to ensure the long life of your form. This means the removing and reinserting of the bolt will not wallow out the plastic from repeated use, like regular screws would do.

Take a wide chisel or putty knife and place the chisel blade, flat side against the HDPE, at the point where the blank meets the form's bottom piece, then lightly tap the chisel with a hammer. The blank will pop lose from the form and you will be able to pull it from the form very easily. If your thicker blank is giving you a bit of trouble and needs a little added encouragement, you can remove the other end cap the same way.

Resetting the Form for the Next Pour:

Take the end cap(s) that you removed and ensure the gasket is fully seated and free of any debris. Reattach the end cap, apply chosen releasing agent per manufactures recommendations and you are ready for another pour. It is THAT easy!
